3rd Annual MO' Cowbell Marathon

The MO' Cowbell Marathon begins in Frontier Park on the banks of the historic St. Charles riverfront and heads up to the new urbanism community of New Town at St. Charles. The remaining leg of the marathon is run on the Katy Trail along the Missouri River.

Hailed as "the fastest, flattest course in the St. Louis region," the MO' Cowbell Marathon has quickly established itself by making some noise as a new fun-filled tradition in the community.

For 2013, organizers have expanded again and are now offering a Marathon, a Half Marathon, a Half Marathon Relay, and a 5K. Some 5,000 runners and nearly as many spectators and volunteers are expected on race day scheduled for Oct. 6 2013. Depending on the type of race and the time of registration, running fees range between $40 and $100 per person.

Fun fact: The race was created and named with a tongue-in-cheek reference to a classic SNL skit featuring Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken!
