Rethinking Discipline: Behavior Strategies that Work

Responding to temper tantrums, crying, anger, frustration, and other problem behaviors is a challenge parents and caregivers face every day. Sometimes it helps to have simple, yet effective, strategies in your toolbox to make things in your home run a little smoother. Having a variety of tools to use can help you prevent or decrease the amount of time spent on negative behaviors. This workshop covers research proven techniques used to decrease problem behaviors and increase positive behaviors. Participants will learn basic behavioral principles, learn what discipline is and isn’t, and learn effective positive parenting strategies to use at home.

This 2-hour workshop is presented by Sarah Grafeman, PhD, a licensed child psychologist experienced in helping families and children with developmental disabilities, conduct problems, and trauma-related behavioral symptoms.
