October 19:  If you are concerned about all types
of bullying, the St. Charles City-County Library District is very proud to host
the <3 Conference.  NYT bestselling teen author Heather Brewer
is bringing together 18 preeminent YA authors including A. S. King, David
Levithan, Lisa McMann, Carrie Ryan, Jennifer Brown, Ellen Hopkins, Rachel
Caine, Andrew Smith,  Shannon Messenger, Carrie Jones , and Marianne
Mancusi to open a dialogue about bullying and how we can initiate positive
approaches to the issue.  Teens, tweens, booksellers, teachers,
administrators, counselors and others are invited to hear 4 panel discussions
with teen authors focusing on various types of bullying, a keynote address by
Heather Brewer and a social meet and mingle with the authors.  Books will
be sold.  The discussion and the anti-bullying action starts here.
