Fed Budget Talks Impact CPAC Event In St. Charles

The St. Charles Convention Center is the place to be Saturday for political watchers as the venue hosts a Conservative Political Action Conference.

The agenda for the event, sponsored by the American Conservative Union, took a late hit Friday as Congress haggles over a potential government shutdown. Missouri U.S. Senator Roy Blunt and U.S. Reps Ann Wagner and Blaine Luetkemeyer, were among those expected to address the gathering who were forced to cancel their appearances to stay in Washington.

Utah Senator Mike Lee will still address the event at 9 a.m.

Patch will have coverage of the event throughout the day.
