St. Charles Whiz Kid: Ben Nolte

Each week, St. Charles Patch will feature a kid, or several, who is doing something great.

●      Whiz Kids' Grade: Ben is in eighth grade. 

●      Whiz Kids' School: Trinity Lutheran School District 

●      Whiz Kids' Accomplishment:  Ben will represent Trinity Lutheran School in the 2011 Missouri Geographic Bee on April 1 in Columbia, Mo.

●      Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness:  Ben Nolte will compete against 100 students in the state geographic bee. The winner will compete in the National Geographic bee. Nolte's coach and social studies teacher, Jason Crowder, won the Missouri Geographic Bee in 1992. Nolte and Crowder are reviewing the "Mapping the World by Heart" curriculum, according to a press release fom the school. 

Each week, St. Charles Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.
