St. Charles Awards Best Holiday Lights Display

The City of St. Charles handed out signs to winners of the best holiday lights display in the city.

St. Charles City Council members on Tuesday recognized the winners of the 2011 St. Charles City Lights Contest. Councilman Mike Klinghammer, Ward-8, thanked everyone for putting the energy and work into decorating their homes.

The St. Charles Beautification Commission sponsored the 8th Awards, which is open to all St. Charles city residents and businesses.

The annual contest is an opportunity to foster participation in the holiday season, and recognize those citizens and business owners who beautify the city with their varied holiday displays.
