Police Reports: Purse Stolen through Strong-Arm Robbery

A purse was stolen by strong-arm robbery from a 19-year-old woman on North 4th Street around 11:42 a.m. July 5. 

Stealing

  • A 40-year-old man reported a handgun was stolen from South Main Street between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 3. 
  • A vehicle parked on South Fifth Street in St. Charles had two windows broken out of it and a cell phone, lap top and fireworks stolen. The incident happened between 11:30 p.m. July 3 and midnight on July 4. 
  • A 56-year-old woman reported that four or five women stole her purse from a fireworks tent on Veterans Memorial Parkway at which the woman was working. The incident happened between midnight and 12:30 a.m. July 4. 
  • Police arrested two people suspected of entering unlocked vehicles at Beaconsfield and Michaelwood Court around 3 a.m. July 4. The items were recovered and returned, but victims didn't want to prosecute. One person was taken into custody for a curfew violation and another person was arrested for an unrelated violation. 
  • Harley Davidson motorcycle was reportedly stolen from the 1100 block of Ithica Circle between 2:30 June 29 and 5:22 p.m. July 4. 

Assault

  • A 16-year-old was reportedly assaulted by her boyfriend in around 5:45 p.m. July 4.

  • A 20-year-old woman's ex-boyfriend reportedly left homicidal messages on her answering machine. The man was arrested and taken to St. Joseph's Health Center for an evaluation around 11:45 p.m. July 4. 

Property Damage

  • A restaurant on South Duchesne Drive was reportedly damaged by a pellet or BB gun between 2:15 a.m. and 4:35 a.m.
