Pipes and Drums on Parade in Frontier Park

Although the threat of severe weather closed the 2012 Missouri Tartan Day Festivities a few hours early, a small crowd turned out on Sunday to enjoy the pipes and drums.

The 2012 Missouri Tartan Day Festivities at brought in re-enactors, celtic bands and pipe-and-drum groups from all over the country.

The 42nd Royal Highlanders Band of Music was one of the pipe-and-drum groups at this past weekend's event. They set up a period military encampment in Frontier Park and entertained festival-goers with their precise marching and traditional Scottish tunes.
