Nine Things to Do in St. Charles County This Weekend

  • Adult Easter Egg Hunt: New Town St. Charles is hosting an Adult Easter Egg Hunt at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Bring a flashlight and baskets. Tickets are $10 in February or $15 in March. Registration is at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Buy tickets at the Secondhand Rose, Dwell In Design, Marsala's Market, The Bridge. For more information, call 314-518-8011.

 

  • Easter Egg Hunt: The St. Charles Christian Church in New Town St. Charles hosts an Easter Egg Hunt at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

 

  • The Eggnormous Hunt: This event is sponsored by Wentzville's 2Rivers Church and is scheduled for Saturday from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at John Weldon Elementary School. The event features a 20,000 egg hunt, carnival games, face painting, popcorn and door prizes. Hunt one for kids ages baby to 2 starts at 1:40 p.m., hunt two for children 3 to 4 is at 2 p.m., hunt three for ages 5 to 6 is at 2:20 p.m. and hunt four for children ages 7 to 8 is at 2:50 p.m.

  • Decorate a Giant Easter Egg: The eggs are about 12 inches in height. Choose the egg you would like to decorate with your hand prints or make flowers with thumb prints or make wax flowers with your thumbs to glue onto the egg then sparkle with glitter, if desired. You can also add extra finishing details with a paintbrush. Call 636-724-7337 for more information. This event is happening through Saturday at My Handyworks, located at 104 S. Main St. in St. Charles.

 

  • Spring Community Candy Hunt: Spring Candy / Easter Egg Hunt for kids from ages 0 - 6th Grade Come bring your children and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Well have stories and fun activities and some games and prizes for the kids,. This event is set for Saturday at Oakridge Baptist Church, located at 235 Oak Ridge West Dr. in St. Peters.

  • Egg-cellent Craft to GoStop by the reference desk this week at the Kisker Road Branch of the St. Charles County Public Library system and receive a craft-to-go to make at home to honor Easter! This event is happening through Saturday. 

 

  • Celebrating Local Artists Exhibit: Nickolas BeckerCome to the Kisker Road Branch on Saturday at any time to view an exhibit of pencil drawings by local artist, Nickolas Becker. His works showcase a variety of naturalistic subjects pleasing to the eye. Stop by the Kisker Road Branch in March to support the local arts community.

 

 

  • Dirty Muggs at Ameristar: Looking for a fun time? Head over to Ameristar Casino's Bottleneck Blues Bar to hear Dirty Muggs, a high-energy band that brings a variety of music to the stage. Cover is $5 and the band is playing on Friday and Saturday nights. Must be 21 or older to attend.
