MoDOT to Move Traffic to New Route 364 Wednesday

Expect delays of 15 minutes.

ST. LOUIS – Drivers on Route 94 between Harvester Road and Woodstone Drive can expect delays of up to 15 minutes on Wednesday, March 2, as crews move traffic to the new Route 364 outer roads.

The change was planned for Monday, but due to inclement weather, the shift has been postponed until Wednesday.

Workers from the Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor, Fred Weber Inc., will start moving all Route 94 traffic onto the new Route 364 north and south outer roads that day at 7 a.m., weather permitting.

The switch should be complete by 3:30 p.m.

Because of the amount of work required to move traffic to the outer roads, drivers are strongly encouraged to use other routes during the day Tuesday, especially around Jungermann and Harvest Roads.

Both Jungermann and Harvest Roads will remain open during the traffic shift, but drivers can expect significant delays of up to 15 minutes across both roads while crews are working to move traffic.

Traffic could remain on the outer roads until construction is finished on the mainline of Route 364 in mid-2012.

This is part of a $44 million project to extend Route 364 from east of Jungermann Road to west of Central School Road in .

Crews will also construct outer roads and build bridges to carry Route 364 over Woodstone and Jungermann Roads and construct a bridge to carry Central School Road traffic over the new route.

There are additional projects to extend Route 364 all the way to Mid Rivers Mall Drive. The project is scheduled to be complete in 2012.
