Loyal Order of the Squirrels Collects Bikes for Needy

Bikes can be dropped of at any St. Charles County Ambulance District location.

St. Charles County Ambumlance District will help the Loyal Order of the Squirrels collect children's bikes for needy families again this year.

Last year, more than 100 bikes were collected and delivered to the Loyal Order of the Squirrels, who repair, refurbish and paint the bikes. The bikes are then given to children through Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Center.

"The joy this program has provided to needy families is immeasurable For many this is their first bike and we take every effort to provide them with a
quality gift," said Bernie McNamee, who organizes the program for the squirrels.
