The Pioneer Network, an eldercare advocacy group, will hold its annual conference at the St. Charles Convention Center Sunday through Aug. 4.

Carol Felzien, director of communication, said in an email exchange that the event is the largest convention to ever come to St. Charles, adding that the reserved room blocks for participants sold out at three area hotels. Nearly 1,800 attendees are expected to participate in conference, she said.

The conference schedule includes time for participants to explore historic St. Charles on Tuesday night between 6 and 9 p.m.
