Health Department Ready to Administer Flu Shots

It's almost flu season - here are few places you can stop by to get a flu shot in St. Charles County.

It's nearly flu season. Local healthcare providers are encouraging people to get a flu shot soon so they are protected from the flu earlier. According to the St. Charles County Health Department, it can take two weeks for flu antibodies to develop after you receive a flu shot.

“A flu vaccine is the best way to protect against influenza,” Division of Public Health Director Hope Woodson said in a press release.  “Although last season was considered one of the mildest ever, there is no way to predict the number of flu cases reported this year.  With the start of the season coming soon, it’s important to schedule your appointment now to best protect your family.”
