Five St. Louis-Area Organizations That Need Volunteers

Give back to your community this summer

Riverside Shakespeare Theatre Co will be finishing up construction of the set of As You Like It Saturday starting at 9 a.m. If you would like to help, come on out.

is looking for someone to volunteer with AniMeals, a food pantry run by volunteers at Five Acres Animal Shelter. They provide food for up to four cats or dogs for families and individuals on limited incomes. This service will help prevent those animals from being given up to shelters, allowing us to care for other animals. The AniMeals pantry is open on Sunday mornings from 8-11am. The program is stocked entirely by donations.

AniMeals Volunteers work in pairs whenever possible for the best level of efficiency. This position requires moving around bags of dry dog food (large bags included) and a reasonable amount of walking.

Wings of Hope, a charity based in Chesterfield, needs someone to help out in the office. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007. Must be capable of handling various assignments with minimum supervision.

The St. Louis MS Society needs someone to be a Team Prize Coordinator for Events. The person would provide assistance with securing incentive prizes to motivate team captains in recruitment efforts for our fundraising events. Work with staff liaison for direction on prizes needed. Contact various companies and organizations to secure donations. Provide administrative follow-up for prize securing (i.e., send letters, phone calls). Provide input on copy and messaging to promote gifts. Other duties as assigned.
