Deputy Fire Chief Named Interim Chief for St. Charles Fire Department
Rick Daly will serve as interim fire chief.
St. Charles Mayor Sally Faith announced plans to appoint Deputy Fire Chief Rick Daly as Interim Fire Chief following current last week.
The appointment will be considered by the St. Charles City Council Sept. 11. Daly previously worked as fire chief for the city of Kirkwood, according to a press release from the city. He has been with St. Charles Fire Department for 31 years. For the past 16 years, he has been in charge of the Operations Division.
Daly was one of several candidates considered for the position.

“St. Charles is fortunate to have a top-notch fire department with an excellent reputation of protecting and serving the people who live, work, and visit our community. I am looking forward to having Rick at the helm of our fire protection team,” Director of Administration Michael Spurgeon said.
