Business News: New BBQ Joint is Hiring, Grand Opening Set for Halo

Check out what's coming and going on Main Street and beyond.

Hendrick's BBQ will open soon at 1200 South Main Street in the former Municipal Waterworks building, which used to be a Maryland Yards. 

The restaurant will host a hiring fair on July 21 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the restaurant. Positions are available for management, servers, hostesses, kitchen staff and pit masters. 

The restaurant is descibed in a press release as "featuring classic American BBQ — offering delicious comfort food, homemade sides, made-from-scratch desserts, specialty cocktails and southern hospitality."

Grand Opening

Halo Candle Company in St. Charles will host a grand reopening in their new location at 315 South Main Street. 

The event will also be a Grand Opening for the upstairs tenant at 315 South Main Street -- Missouri Artists on Main. 

The event will be from 4-8 p.m. July 15.

Coming Soon

  • According to a sign hanging at 115 North Main Street, optometrist Dr. Julie Emming-Thomas will open The Eye Shoppe and start seeing patients soon. This location has been vacant since artist closed his shop. 
  • A sign hanging at 125 North Main Street says Little O's Old Time Soda Fountain featuring Ozenkoski's Gooey Butter Cakes is coming soon. This location used to be "It Boutique and More."
  • The restaurant space at 140 North Main Street, which used to be Cobblestones, says "Coming Soon, Think Greek."
