Crisis Nursey Wine & Martini Summer Soiree Big Hit

A lively crowd descended upon historic Main Street in downtown St. Charles anxious to support Crisis Nursery’s annual summer event in a charming atmosphere complete with wine, signature martinis, hor d’ouerves, music and fun. 

The Wine & Martini Summer Soiree, held at Q, the trendsetting nightlife restaurant of the event’s honorary hosts, Jeff & Raegan Parrish, benefitted three St. Charles area Crisis Nurseries.  In 2012, the Nurseries combined provided crisis counseling to more than 2,300 parents through the 24-hour helpline.

An entertaining trio of guest speakers, including honorary corporate chair Tom Hughes, Jeff Parrish and co-chair Kevin Riggs, accompanied by musician Perry Woods, charmed the crowd and amplified excitement for raffle ticket holders with their eyes fixed on winning State Beauty and premium wine baskets, Cardinal tickets and the 50/50 raffle.  Best Friends Chair Charlotte McClure was the lucky 50/50 winner.  She graciously donated her winnings back to the Nursery.

Crisis Nursery board member Vince Blood inspired guests to be a hero to a child in need by donating to the Nursery’s Sponsor-A-Child program.  A total of $10,000 was raised during the evening.
