My Favorite Wine

People always ask me for wine recommendations. There are so many good wines to choose from; you should never limit yourself to just one type of wine. Of course, there are the old stand-by rules of thumb: white wine pairs well with white meat, red wine pairs well with dark meat, you can never go wrong with port and dessert, etc., etc. These days, many experts advise drinking what you like and pairing to suit your palate. But, my favorite wine and wine recommendations? On a crisp spring evening, I love sipping our barrel-aged chardonnay. The chardonnay is rich and buttery and will warm you from the inside out. In the summer, I prefer the Vignoles Estate. This light, sweet, fruity wine is perfect for our hot summer nights. Take this wine to a barbeque or enjoy it all by itself, and you can’t go wrong. Since we’re getting into wedding season, I would be remiss if I didn’t address the brides. Brides, I recommend that you serve a good table red wine and a good table white wine during your reception. No need to deviate from the norm here. Of course, if you want to show off your personality a little bit, consider serving a signature cocktail made with wine—sangria anyone? Bottom line: try everything, drink what you like! Life is too short to drink bad wine.
