Head West To See The Colors of Autumn
Remember to cherish each day, each passing season, and appreciate this area that we call our home.
If you go to work, come home, and do your daily chores and things, without getting out to see the diversity and beauty of the area we live in, you are missing out.
St. Charles County has some striking beauty that I've heard compared to the Northeast and this is the perfect time of the year to see it. The autumn colors are starting to pop and the days are bright, warm and sunny. One of my favorite areas to explore (with my camera in hand of course) is Missouri wine country out in the Defiance/Augusta areas. The rolling hills and the river bottom flatlands offer a landscape of variety, beauty and wildlife.
While you are out in that direction, make a little detour through New Melle, Mo on Sunday, Oct. 9, and stop by a little church, Immaculate Heart of Mary. The church members are having their fall sausage dinner and craft show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy good people, delicious home-cooked eats, and a little bit of shopping.
