Gina Rhodes, winery manager at Cedar Lake Cellars, recently earned her PreSomm certification from the Saint Louis School of Wine. The course focused on a variety of topics including table side service and etiquette, as well as regional and international wine tasting education.
Rhodes specializes in wine and food pairing, wine storage and wine cellar rotation. Her certification will enable her to expand Cedar Lake Cellars' wine selections from around the world.
"The knowledge I gained will help me better educate my staff who, in turn, will more thoroughly assist our guests," said Rhodes. "I have become proficient in making wine recommendations, and that translates into hosting more wine pairing events and tableside tastings at our winery."
