Tucanos Brazilian Grill Celebrates Grand Opening

The new restaurant kicks off a charity initiative pitting four local charities against one another.

Tucanos Brazilian Grill welcomed city leaders to a preview of the restaurant on Tuesday night, the day before the restaurant planned to open to the public.

The restaurant, located at 1520 South Fifth Street, features Brazilian dining. It's among one of the first restaurants in the Streets of St. Charles development to open.

"We are so excited they're here in St. Charles City," Mayor Sally Faith said on Tuesday. "They have a beautiful facility, wonderful food and the fact that they are already involved with local charities--that's community."
