The first St. Charles Restaurant Week will kick off Sept. 10 and run through Sept. 16.
Thirteen restaurants from across St. Charles County are participating in the event which offers diners a three course meal for $25.
The event is being coordinated by R&B Productions, a group that does event production and ran the West County Restaurant Week.
“We’ve done the West County Restaurant Week for two years now, we just wrapped it up,” said Hana Firmerman, of R&B Productions. “The event was so successful, we decided to take it to St. Charles County.”
Diners can also choose to donate to Oasis Food Pantry as the charity of choice.
“We’re keeping it at higher end restaurants and getting people to go directly to the restaurant,” she said.
Most of the menues offer three or four starters, three or four entrees plus two or three dessert choices. Vegetarians have limited options, however. Pio’s and Old Hickory have vegetarian-friendly entree options and a few other restaurants offer pasta dishes with shrimp, which you could ask to have left off.
Highlights from the menus include:
Bristol’s in O'Fallon will offer a choice of strawberry and baby greens, lobster bisque or Caesar salad for a starter. Entrees range from jumbo lump crab cake to pretzel crusted trout, scallops or a 6 oz. center cut filet. Dessert includes chocolate lava cake or homemade sorbet.
in St. Charles features a choice of four starters including Tony’s House Salad or famous potato soup and four entrees, which include chicken, mahi, a Burgandy pork tenderloin or combo plate. Dessert is cheesecake or chocolate cheesecake.
Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Peters has three starters (ravioli, smoked brisket flatbread or stuffed portabella mushroom), a choice of four entrees, one of which is a vegetarian option, and crème brulee, bread pudding or cheesecake for dessert.
