Copeland expects to open the St. Charles location in February. He plans to hire a store manager and a graphic designer to start and build from there.

He said he chose to start his store on Elm Street because of the large amount of businesses, schools, organizations and sports teams in the area. He said he considered a Wentzville location but couldn't find the right place.

Copeland worked for a local mattress manufacturer for 18 years and then started looking into starting his own upholstery business. Copeland found Instant Imprints store in O'Fallon while he was looking for embroidery machine and then took a tour.

"It was just amazing, everything is done in house," he said. "Everything you need to promote a business is right there."

The shop will be located at 3734 Elm Street. For more information, contact Copeland at store0226@instantimprints.com
