Missouri Mercantile Opens Second Shop on Main Street

Store offers range of items from across the state.

Bill Olwig spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving setting up a new Missouri Mercantile shop on Main Street.

He hoped to have everything ready for the crowds expected Friday morning. He's used to big crowds at the mall on Black Friday, but said he's heard it's even busier on Main Street.

The new shop is located at 419 South Main Street. Olwig also owns his original store at St. Louis Outlet Center (Formerly St. Louis Mills Mall). The store started out in Old Town Florissant in 2002 before moving to the mall.

Missouri Mercantile sells a range of Missouri-made products, from local apple butter to Grandpa Spencer's Mustard to Thompon Farm's Dip Mixes.

Olwig won't sell Missouri beer and wine at the new location until he gets a liquor license.
