Description: Conducts Law Enforcement patrols within the City to preserve the peace, enforce the law, control vehicle and pedestrian traffic, prevent, deter, and investigate reports of violations of law, while promoting the safety and security of the public. Acts as a First Responder to emergency and other calls for service and takes appropriate action to mitigate injury, damage, and safe guard property. Requirements: All applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older at the time of employment and possess or be able to obtain by date of hire a valid drivers’ license without record of suspension or revocation in any state. Pay: $51,754 annually

Job: Traffic Technician
Description: Performs the collection of and assist with the evaluation of routine traffic studies, including the collection of traffic volume data. Performs repair, maintenance, installation and inspection of traffic signal facilities. Performs repair, maintenance, installation and inspection of street light facilities. Responds to 24-hour emergency requests for repair of traffic signal and street light facilities, per department on-call procedures. Performs utility locates for all streetlights, traffic signals and fiber optic system. Orders materials and supplies. Requirements: Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. High School graduate or GED certificate and one (4) years of applicable experience or Associates of Science degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics and Communications Technology, or closely related field from an accredited institution or any combination. Be certified as an IMSA Level I Signal Technician or be able to obtain such certifications within one year of hire.
