Hendricks BBQ to Compete in World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest
Hendricks BBQ in St. Charles thinks its ribs compete with the best in the world. What do you think?
St. Charles' own Hendricks BBQ will put its ribs up against more than 120 other restaurants from around the world during the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest in Memphis.
The event begins today and runs through Saturday.
On Hendricks BBQ's Facebook page, the restaurant said, "Making our list and checking it twice! Headed to Memphis in May!!!! Wish us luck!!!"

Hendricks is competing in the ribs division, which has the most competition. Other divisions include whole hog and patio porkers.

The Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, according to its website, is the largest pork barbecue contest in the world and is part of the month-long Memphis in May International Festival.
Locally, Hendricks has won several awards for their barbecue. Now, the restaurant located on South Main Street is hoping to grave international notoriety.
