Five Guys Burgers and Fries Opens at Streets of St. Charles

Restaurant is the tenth to open in the St. Louis region.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries opened its tenth restaurant in the St. Louis region in on Monday.

This is the first restaurant to open inside the Streets of St. Charles, a development at the intersection of Interstate 70 and Fifth Street. 

Other businesses located in the development include Wamhoff Financial Services, a dental office and .

On Monday morning around noon, a few people started to wander in for lunch.

"It's going to be good," said Josh Berry, general manager of the store.

Berry said 45 people are employed at the store. One new employee from St. Peters applied along with his son and both got a job.

Another employee, a single mom of three, said she was glad to see more jobs come to the area.

The store's address is 1520 South Fifth Street. The store is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

Five Guys restaurants are operated by Monument Restaurants in St. Louis. The company has nine restaurants open currently, in places from Florissant to Creve Coeur to Sunset Hills. The company closed the Town and Country location in February, 2008, according to a story in Stltoday.com.
