Best Books: Read about the Real Downton Abbey

Check out the best-selling books in five St. Louis metro area bookstores for the week ending Feb. 26.

Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey by Fiona Carnavron takes a look at the people who used to live at Highclere Castle, the location in which the PBS series Downton Abbey was filmed.

The book focuses on Lady Almina, the 5th Countess of Carnarvon, who lived there during WWI. The Gaurdian reviewed the book last September. Read that review here.

The book was among the top 10 best-selling books in five St. Louis-area independent bookstores from the week ending Feb. 26. The bookstores include Left Bank Books in the Central West End, in St. Charles,  Pudd'nhead Books in Webster Groves, Subterranean Books in University City, and Sue's News at the St. Louis Galleria.
