Keep Calm and Hey, What's Miley Up To Now?

If David Brinkley and/or Walter Cronkite were still gracing our television newscasts, today would be a day that they would likely receive record ratings.  A government shutdown AND a historic day in our nation's healthcare system?

Sadly, those two men are no longer with us (Brinkley died in 2003, Cronkite in 2009).  Even if they were, most of us would miss their newscasts anyway, since we now get our news from a variety of electronic sources. Fewer and fewer people tune in to network newscasts now, opting for websites and social media to feed us headlines and breaking news.

And on October 1 when the headlines revolve around a government shutdown and the opening of online insurance markets, I turned to the social media giant with its finger on the pulse of our country, Twitter, to see which topic our country was more concerned about.  Would it be the impact of the government shutdown or the new health insurance options for the country's uninsured?

Miley.
