Meet the Artist: Sally Day Mogerman

You may catch some of Mogerman's work hanging on the walls of the Justice Building in Lincoln County.

Sallie Day Mogerman, of Lake Saint Louis, was born in Mt. Pleasant, TX. Today, her work can be seen in a variety of places–from portraits in her studio at the , to portraits of retired judges in the Justice Building in Troy, MO

St. Charles Patch: Where can people see your work?

Mogerman: There are numerous portraits exhibited in other public places such as First Baptist Church in Lake Saint Louis, Conway School on Conway Road, Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO as well as in private homes in Troy, St. Louis, Kansas City, Dallas, TX, Macon, GA and Spartanburg, SC.

St. Charles Patch: How long have you been in or worked in St. Charles? 

Mogerman: I've worked in Saint Charles at The Foundry Art Centre since it opened in 2004.

St. Charles Patch: How would you describe your work?

Mogerman: I paint classic, realistic portraits. I would like to add that I love what I do. I feel very fortunate.
