In 1915, the legislature created Missouri Day set aside to celebrate all that is Missouri.
This year the First Missouri State Capitol is highlighting famous people who were either born in Missouri or made their mark on the world by living here. Students and lovers of history can visit representatives from various organizations representing our diverse biographic contributions to US history! Lewis and Clark Boathouse, Bonniebrooke Museum, Thomas Benton Hart Home and Studio SHS, Arrow Rock SHS, Missouri Sports Hall of Fame and Bellefontaine Cemetery are just a sampling of the museums coming out to show off their Missourians.
