The Lindenwood University Film Series, in conjunction with the Disabled Athlete Sports Association (DASA), will show the film Murderball at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16. The screening will be free and open to the public and will take place in Young Hall Auditorium on the main university campus in St. Charles.
The 2005 film recounts the journey of the United States quadriplegic rugby team between the 2002 and 2004 Paralympic Games. The personal trials and triumphs of each member are documented, as well as the intense rivalry between the American and Canadian teams.
Following the screening, Josh Pennington, DASA program director, and Troy Beirnbaum, Lindenwood student and DASA power soccer athlete, will be available for discussion.
