Family Culture Day Kick-Off

Family Culture Day series will kickoff at the Foundry Art Centre.  The Mayor of St. Charles and The Mexican Consul-Kansas City will begin festivities with opening remarks to the community on Sunday, August 28, 2011.  The purpose of Culture Days is to showcase Latino contributions to the arts.  The festive day is from 1:00-7:00pm with ethnic food, cultural music and displays, and art activities for children. At 2:00pm, Featured Hispanic Artist Gloria Parsley will discuss her photography exhibit, “Nostalgia, An Open Door to Mexico,” and at 5:00pm featured musician Javier Mendoza will perform in the Grand Hall.
