Civil War in St. Charles County

The new museum exhibit “St. Charles County in the Civil War: A Divided Nation, A Divided State, A Divided County” shares the story of the Civil War with a local perspective. As part of the ongoing Sesquicentennial anniversary of the Civil War, the exhibit shares maps, photos, documents, and other items, related to the history and events of St. Charles County. Curated by Gary McKiddy and Maureen Bouxsein with assistance from Lindenwood University, it gives the visitor an interesting perspective of life during that troubled period.

The exhibit is inside the Archives, which is open Mondays-Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am until 3 pm, and on the second and fourth Saturdays from 10 am until 3pm. The public is welcome.
