7 Things to Do in St. Charles County This Weekend

Patch rounds up a list of events going on in St. Charles County.

  • Schooools out for the Summer Lock InFriday from 6-10 p.m. at My Handyworks 104 South Main St., St. Charles. Event is open to children ages 5 and older. Cost is $50. Pizza is provided. Activities include making cards for soldiers, tie-dye T-shirts, hand wax designs and crayon art. 
  • MacHeadQuarters Grand Opening Set for Saturday: Saturday at 2504 Highway K, O'Fallon from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Radio station 105.7 The Point will be on hand for the grand opening event Saturday, and the store will be giving away a brand new MacBook Pro plus lots of other prizes including iPods and gift certificates. The first 300 people will receive a MacHQ Racing t-shirt.   
  • History of the Victorian TeaSaturday at 2 p.m. The event features a presentation on the history and etiquette of High Tea, along with a delicious selection of tea, sandwiches and desserts. Admission is $7 per person and reservations are highly recommended, as seating is limited.   • Lake Saint Louis On-the-Water Boat ShowSaturday-Sunday at 11 a.m. The Lake Saint Louis Sailing & Paddling Club will host the 16th annual Lake Saint Louis On-the-Water Boat Show on June 1 and 2, 2013 at Lake Saint Louis’ Windjammer Marina.  St. Louis area dealers will be displaying the latest in boats and nautical toys, including kayaks, standup paddleboards, sailboats, runabouts, pontoons, docks, boat lifts, and more.  This on-the-water show is unique for the area because many boats will be available for free test drives on beautiful Lake Saint Louis.  Now's your chance to get out on the water! This family-friendly event is open to the public, and admission and parking are free.  A concession area will be open for snacks or a meal, so come by for lunch!  Show hours are 11am-5pm on Saturday, June 1, and 11am-3pm on Sunday, June 2.
