Your Weekend: Celebrate Scotland, Head to the Gun Show
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are packed with options both indoors and out.
When/Where: The event kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday and goes until 10 p.m. Come back at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday for an entire day of entertainment at Frontier Park in St. Charles.
Why Go: The Missouri Tartan Day Festival is a free, family-friendly celebration of Scottish-American heritage. Join in the fun with a fantastic array of music, food, dance, crafts, storytelling and clans. You'll also find animal exhibits and interactive activities for the whole family. On Saturday at noon, watch the parade travel down Main Street beginning at the boathouse.

When/Where: The show takes place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Sunday at the .
Why Go: Gun enthusiasts will enjoy this display of thousands of new and used firearms, modern and collectible rifles, pistols and shotguns. You will also find big sales on ammo, knives, gun parts, scopes, gun cases, old military and old west items. Collectors will be on hand to buy firearms, swords, old militaria and more. Bring your old or unwanted guns to sell or trade.
Pricing: Tickets are $11 for adults (tickets are good both days. Children 12 and younger are free.
When/Where: The event begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lowe's Home Improvement Store, 2900 West Clay.
Why Go: Bring the kids to Lowe's for the store's build and grow clinic. This week's featured project has a pinball theme that the kids will love making as well as playing with.

When/Where: The event takes place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at the Wingate Hotel, 32 Missouri Research Park Circle in St. Charles.
Why Go: Cat In A Basket, a local gift company, is hosting Spring Shopping Boutique and Girl’s Day Out featuring locally made products from moms with home-based businesses, on-site hair and makeup stylist and gourmet treats. Proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Louis Crisis Nursery.

When/Where: The classes take place from 12:55 p.m.–1:55 p.m. Sunday at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters, College Center Dance Studio.
Why Go: Get into the groove this spring with ballroom dance classes at St. Charles Community College. Beginning Sunday through June 6, you can learn the moves step-by-step with award winning dance instructors Linda Landwehr and Stan Mayer. Identical classes will begin 6:55 p.m. to 7:55 p.m. Monday and from 6:55 p.m. to 7:55 p.m Wednesday.
