Families are invited to a play date in the park on Saturday, April 20.
Now that spring is in full swing, Unlimited Play Inc. is hosting one of its first "play dates for all" at the new all-inclusive Discovery Playground at Jaycee Park in St. Charles.
The non-profit that got its start with the dream of one O'Fallon mom, now helps communities across the country build playgrounds that are accessible for children with and without disabilities.
Discovery Park in St. Charles is the fourth in the St. Louis region that Unlimited Play helped raise funds to build
The playground has a water play section, sun shades and metal slides rather than plastic slides. The entire playground is also fenced in.
Children ages five to 12 are welcome to play from 10 a.m. to noon at the park located at 2805 Elm St.
The event is free and snacks and drinks will be available. Buddies are provided for children with special needs.
A parent or caregiver must remain on site while the child plays. Anyone interested in attending must RSVP by Thursday, April 18 by calling Unlimited Play at 636-449-1770.
