Sweet German Shepherd Susie Seeks Home

Susie is a sweet shepherd mix that was tied to the Five Acres Animal Shelter gate in a hail storm. They brought her in and gave her a second chance. This sweet girl is still waiting to find her forever home. Susie would make a great family dogs and likes kids. She is 6 years old, does well with other dogs and is potty trained. She likes going for walks and will sit for a treat.

We are the only no kill shelter in St. Charles County and rely completely on private support. We rescue and find homes for hundreds of dogs and cats every year. Akira is a very small and very shy girl. She is very docile, loves other cats, loves to get brushed and petted; but will always be shy and easily frightened. A quiet home with no dogs or active small kids is a must; she would just spend her life hiding. She will hide until she is convinced you are not actually going to harm her.  Any new pet parent will have to be the one to initiate a relationship and will have to work at establishing trust and a bond. A predictable routine is necessary for her comfort levels. Akira will probably not exceed five or six pounds fully grown. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, negative for FIV and FeLV, treated for parasites, and micro chipped. Akira is Heartland #7756
