St. Charles Whiz Kids

Kids of the Week: Mattison Appel and Kara Bramer 

●      Whiz Kids' Grade: Both students are in sixth grade.

●      Whiz Kids' School: Mattison attends Hollenbeck Middle School and Kara attends St. Charles Borromeo.

●      Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: Mattison and Kara won a window-painting contest sponsored by St. Charles Chamber of Commerce. 

●      Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: The girls entered the contest through their Girl Scout Troop 929 and painted Santa coming out of the chimney on the window of an area business. Their artwork was selected as one of the top paintings, and the girls received a laptop computer from the chamber during the Feb. 16 Chamber of Commerce meeting.
