St. Charles Recognized for Affordable Housing by Money Magazine

City was also named the 71st best place to live in the country.

Money Magazine recognized for affordable homes in a recent issue recognizing "Best Places to Live." The city was noted as the 11th most affordable. 

According to Money Magazine, the median home price is $144,000 while the median family income was $72,339. 

The city was recognized as being a nice place to raise kids with "great schools, very little crime and reasonably priced homes." It was also ranked 71st best place to live in the country.

O'Fallon ranked 39th in the line up and Florissant came in at 76th. 

“We are so proud to be recognized once again for being a great community for residents and businesses,” Mayor Sally Faith said, according to a press release.  “This clearly demonstrates our plan for growth, affordability and investment is working.”
