St. Charles Dogtoberfest Features Pet Parade

Festival will be from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 13 in DuSable Dog Park.

Costumed pets will be on parade in Frenchtown in St. Charles on Sunday for the 7th Annual Dogtoberfest.

The festival, held at DuSable Dog Park, includes a dog bone hunt, vendors, a dog trainer, live music and more and is sponsored by the St. Charles Animal Control. It runs from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 13.

The parade starts at noon at the corner of North Main Street and Tecumseh. festival will continue in DuSable Dog Park. All participants must be registered and are welcome to enter a float, which must be no bigger than the size of a small red wagon.

Contests include: best dog costume, best float, prettiest eyes, ugliest mug, best canine trick. All attendees should preregister their dogs at www.saintcharlescitypets.com. For more information, call St. Charles Animal Control at 636-949-3395.
