Race for the Rivers Seeks Volunteer Gate Guards

  • Organizers for the annual Race for the Rivers, a canoe race held in Aug. 24 in Frontier Park in St. Charles, are looking for volunteers to serve as gate guards who would tell people alcohol is not allowed in or out of the festival. Contact greenwaynetwork@gmail.com to sign up to help.
  • Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support will hold the 12th annual Share Walk for Remembrance and Hope in October. Share is looking for volunteers to help plan the event. Contact Caitlyn Wood at cwood@nationalshare.org to help out.
  • The ReadingSuccessCenter.org, based in St. Charles, is looking for members for various committees. The group is building Reading Improvement Programs for nonprofits who want to help improve literacy.
