Pet of the Week: Cat Nearing End of Life Needs a Foster Home

Chanel has cancer and Five Acres Animal Shelter would like to find her a "twilight" foster home.

Chanel is an adult Siamese, female, Fiv positive cat. She was rescued by another group and since they do not house Fiv cats, they contacted . They took Chanel in and after a vet exam it was discovered that she had many mammary tumors. After biopsy they found out that Chanel has mammary cancer. They would like to find her a “twilight foster” to care for her.  If you have it in your heart to adopt or foster and give this little girl a home for the rest of her days, please contact Rita at (636) 949-9918 or felines@fiveacresanimalshelter.org.

Ginger is a beautiful, red, Doberman Pinscher, with natural ears, and an undocked tail. She was born about December of 2009 and weighs 50 lbs. Ginger is very affectionate to everyone. She is so happy, she is constantly wagging her tail. Ginger loves to give kisses and if you are gone for just a short period of time, will greet you with enthusiasm. She loves to run laps around the yard - a fenced yard will be a must, unless you are an enthusiastic runner or walker. Ginger is crate trained perfectly.
