MoDOT Closing Lanes on Interstate 70 at Fifth Street Wednesday and Friday Nights

MoDOT will close one lane on westbound Interstate 70 at Fifth Street overnight Wednesday, June 26 and Friday, June 28 for work on the bridge over Fifth Street

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane on westbound Interstate 70 at Fifth Street overnight Wednesday, June 26 and Friday, June 28
for work on the bridge over Fifth Street. As with all MoDOT projects, the dates are weather permitting and may move a day in case of rain.

Wednesday's lane closure will start at 10 p.m. and end at 6 a.m. on Thursday morning. The westbound I-70 bridge over Fifth Street is being rehabilitated and resurfaced as part of the westbound I-70 Blanchette Missouri River Bridge project.  The lane closure will leave only two lanes open on I-70 overnight Wednesday night.

MoDOT crews will close one lane at 8 p.m. and a second lane at 10 p.m. Both closures will, again, last until 6 a.m. Crews will be restriping the three lanes of westbound I-70 and moving barrier wall overnight.
