Man Wins $70,000 in Lottery Scratch Off game

St. Charles QuikTrip sold winning ticket.

An O’Fallon man has claimed the first top prize on a Missouri Lottery “St. Louis Rams” Scratchers ticket. Steven Ronquest, 46, won $70,000 on a ticket he purchased at QuikTrip, 2260 First Capitol Drive, in St. Charles.

According to Ronquest, he stopped for coffee and decided to try the St. Louis Rams ticket because he “saw that it was new.” He offered no plans on how to spend the windfall.

“St. Louis Rams” is a $5 ticket that officially began Aug. 27. This is the first of two top-prizes of $70,000 to be claimed in the game.
