Librarian To Speak About Genealogy Resources Available at Central Library

St. Charles County Historical Society is hosting a number of events including a history home tour.

Cynthia Millar, genealogy librarian at the St. Louis Public Library, will speak about the genealogy resources available at the newly renovated Central Library in St. Louis at a Focus on Genealogy Program. 

The event, sponsored by St. Charles City-County Library District and the St. Charles County Historical Society, will be 7-8:45 p.m. Sept. 10 at Kathryn Linneman Library. Reservations are required and the program is free. Call 636-723-0232 to reserve a spot.  

Resources in St. Louis will be helpful to people in St. Charles as families from St. Charles often moved or worked in St. Louis, according to the press release.

Historic Homes Tour 

The St. Charles County Historical Society will host an historic homes tour from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 21. The tour will start at Benton School, which is currently used as the administration building for St. Charles School District. Other spots on the tour include homes on Washington Street and Jefferson Street. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased at SCCHS.org or by calling 636-946-9828.
