Lane Closures Planned on I-70 Overnight Thursday

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close lanes in both directions on Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Bridge Thursday night and Friday morning. 
One lane will be closed in each direction from Fifth Street across the bridge at 8 p.m.

By 10 p.m., only two lanes will be open in each direction and the two exit ramps from westbound I-70 to Fifth Street will be closed. In the early hours of Friday morning, all lanes in each direction will be closed for about 15 minutes while crews reinstall an overhead sign truss on westbound I-70 between the bridge and Fifth Street.

Crews will also complete work in the median of I-70 to return the road to normal conditions. Work will be postponed in case of rain. Drivers are advised to avoid the area between 11 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday.
