Clean up Earthdance Farms

Help clean up Mueller Farm in Ferguson before St. Louis Composting does some vegetative clearing. The clean up will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 1. Bring gloves. Volunteers are asked to RSVP so there are enough snacks and hot cocoa for everyone. Call 314-521-1006 or email volunteer@earthdancefarms.org 

Blood Pressure Monitor Needed in Ballwin

West County Senior Center is looking for a qualified volunteer to come by once a week or once a month and take blood pressures for the center participants. Volunteers should be available around 10 a.m. on any week day. Learn more here.

Deck the Halls at Breeze Park Senior Living Community 

There are several trees to assemble and decorate for the enjoyment of residents, family members and visitors.  Grab a friend or two and reserve a time to lend a hand! Times are Nov. 19 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. or Monday, November 26 to Wednesday, November 28 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Contact Pam Gordon to sign up PGordon@LSSLiving.org. 

Donations Needed

Adopt-A-Family through Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service: The Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service is looking for people to adopt 150 families in need of Christmas gifts. Last year 719 families were helped. The Care Service is also looking for used bicycles for children ages 3 to 5 and shoe certificates for children's shoes. Call Yvonne Tihen, Adopt-A-Family Coordinator, at 636-441-1302, ext. 224 for more information. 

Missouri's State Capitol several every day items for conservation care and public programs. Items needed include: old cotton bath towels – white or light colors, old cotton bed sheets - any colors, Q tips, cotton balls, cotton squares (like for makeup/nail polish removal), distilled water, mineral spirits, denatured alcohol, unbleached 100% cotton muslin (or gift card to fabric store!), plastic storage tubs, crafting supplies (glue sticks, pens, beads, etc.) 

Potentials Resale Boutique/Youth in Need: Potentials in Creve Coeur is collecting items for kids at Youth In Need. Items needed include: kitchen storage rack for food, mens clothing sizes 32-40, jeans for both men and women and tennis shoes for both men and women. They can be dropped off at Potentials.

The City of St. Charles is requesting a one-time emergency pickup of storm debris (stumps, limbs,Read More foliage) to be approved at tonight's Council Meeting, as it needs budget approval. The Mayor and our Director of Administration, Michael Spurgeon, fully support this request. Details will be distributed Wednesday afternoon, once approval is granted. Please stay tuned.

Yeah, it saddened us when we realized that someone had discretely made a generous item donation butRead More had left their wallet in the donated gym bag. Our social media director Dawn Thomas was able to locate the teen and "Renew that Treasure " to it's owner. It gave us all such joy!
