RiverCity Rascals Opener

  • When/Where? At 7:05 p.m. on Friday, May 18 at , 900 T.R. Hughes Blvd, O'Fallon.

  • When/Where? Saturday, May 19, 2012, 10:00 a.m. 200 S Main St, Saint Charles, MO 
  • What? Come and experience historic games, toys, candlemaking, petting farm animals, butter churning, crafts and more! Costumed reenactors will show kids of all ages how life was lived in 1820's St. Charles.

  • When/Where? From 6:30-10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at the YMCA, 3456 Harry S. Truman Blvd, St. Charles.
  • What? Enjoy a fun night out while your child enjoys fun activities, movies, and games. This is for children age 6 weeks to 6 years. Kids Night Out for this age group is held at the St. Charles County Family YMCA Early Childhood Education Center. For more information or to register, contact Julie at 636-949-7929.

Shower of Love Baby-Care Items Collection Drive

  • When/Where? All day from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at Schnucks, 1950 Zumbehl Rd., St. Charles.
  • What? Volunteers are needed for the 6th annual Shower of Love. The Shower of Love is a St. Charles Countywide collection drive for baby-care items. This event benefits moms and babies at Birthright-St. Charles, Crisis Nursery, Mary Queen of Angels, Nurses for Newborns, Our Lady's Inn, ThriVe St. Louis and Youth in Need. The Shower of Love is a St. Charles Countywide collection drive which provides basic baby supplies to young families in hopes of preventing child abuse and neglect. Volunteers will hand out "wish list" items to customers at participating grocery stores in St. Charles County and receive donated items. To view a list of participating stores and hours visit www.freewebs.com/showeroflove.

St. Peters Kite Festival

  • When/Where? From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at 370 Lakeside Park, 1000 Lakeside Drive, St. Peters.
  • What? This free annual festival sponsored by the St. Peters Rangers Division allows individuals to enjoy the spring winds while joining together with other kite enthusiasts. Come check out the new 300-acre park. The first 100 kids will receive free kite-building kits. Refreshments will be available for a small cost.
