Get Out: St. Charles Businesses Host Progressive Pink Party

Other events this weekend include a car show, country fair and an outdoor street fair on Sunday.

  • When/Where? Friday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. at , 2300 W Clay St, Saint Charles, MO. Cost is $42.
  • What? The heat turns up when a dazzling company of flamenco dancers and musicians takes the stage in “Gypsy Fire,” featuring world-renowned flamenco dancer Jose Porcel.

  • When/Where? Friday, Oct. 7 at the , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, Cottleville at 8 p.m.  
  • What? SCC will show Rocky Horror Picture Show on the lawn outside on campus. Tickets are $7. Gates open at 7 p.m.

  • When/Where? Saturday, Oct. 8 on 107 N Main St, St. Charles at 1 p.m. 
  • What? Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month with makeovers, pink hair extensions, body art and more. Tickets for the event can be purchased for $10 in advance and $15 at the door at . All proceeds will support local breast cancer programs in memory of local mother, daughter, friend and fighter Kathy Caldwell.

  • When/Where? Saturday, Oct. 8 at , 100 N Main St, O Fallon, at 7:30 a.m. 
  • What? O’Fallon’s ninth annual  is a 3.1 mile race that includes a fall costume contest for all participants. During the race, runners and walkers will follow a clearly-marked route through the neighborhood, returning to the start/finish line outside City Hall. An awards ceremony will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m., with complimentary snacks and beverages for participants.

Race for the Rivers Make Up Canoe & Kayak Race

  • Where/When? Start at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 in Weldon Spring, MO. Finish 3-6 hours later in St. Charles.
  • What? Less experienced canoeists and kayakers and/or recreational paddlers will travel at their chosen pace for 20 scenic miles of the Missouri River from Weldon Spring to Frontier Park. The 20 mile race offers “once-a-year” paddlers the opportunity to come out and paddle on the river with friends for a good cause! This event will be run with the cooperation of the Missouri Department of Conservation.

  • Where/When? The fair kicks off with a 5k run and 1 mile fun run at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 at 619 N. 2nd Street in St. Charles.
  • What? This old-fashioned fall festival with inside and outside children's games, sports challenges, a marketplace of fall and garden decor, musical entertainment, kettle beef and fried chicken dinners, barbecue and more.

  • Where/When? Noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9 at the Foundry Art Centre, 520 North Main Center, St. Charles, MO. 
  • What? The Family Culture Day series features Latino cultural displays, dance and musical performances and art activities for children.

  • Where/When? Sunday, Oct. 9, on 100 N Main St, St. Charles from 1-6 p.m. 
  • What? This outdoor event on Main Street features live entertainment, including performances by Dave Catani, DJ "D Mega" and Hot Rod Mopeds. Local restaurants will sell favorites on the street for $2-$3 and attendees can enter special contests including, best burger, best bartender drink competition and hotdog eating contest.
